Mohali (Punjabi Teshan) :Today we have lost the legendary actor Satish Kaul. He was battling with coronavirus and took his last breath in Ludhiana at the age of 72. It’s a huge loss to the whole Punjabi industry.
Many prominent people including CM Captain Amarinder Singh expressed the grief on their social media accounts. Social media users are also posting about his sudden demise.
As far as Satish Kaul’s career is concerned, he did 300 Punjabi and Hindi movies. He worked with many renowned actors of Bollywood such as Amitabh Bachchan, Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Apart from this, he became very popular after playing the character of Lord Inder in BR Chopra’s Mahabharata.
Besides, he was known as Amitabh Bachchan of Punjabi cinema. He did a number of pollywood films like ‘Maula Jatt’, ‘Guddo’ , Patola, Shera De Putt Sher and so on. Satish was awarded with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by PTC. Indpite of this, he worked in superhit movies such as ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’, ‘Aunty No. 1’, Yaarana, Ilzaam and many more.
However, Satish Kaul was out of limelight from many years. His personal life too was not going well. His wife got separated from him and shifted to America with children. As per the reports, Satish Kaul was living in Vivekananda old age home in Ludhiana. His financial condition was also poor and even couldn’t pay his medical bills. It’s a matter of grief that the legendary actor who gave his whole life to the cinema, demised like this.
Meanwhile, it’s a huge loss to the whole Punjabi industry which can never be recovered…
