Chandigarh, April 29, 2023: Art of Dance, an established name in the arena of dance training of tricity, celebrated its 16th anniversary amid usual fervour and enthusiasm. The idea behind the celebration was to spread the message of staying physically fit through dance. The event was held at Kozi Club, SCO 8, Sector 7 here.
“Dance is not all about fun and entertainment but also a language that communicates a lot. It is a great means to stay fit and healthy mentally and physically as well,” said MTV fame artist Dipesh Sekhri, who is also Founder of Art of Dance Academy, while interacting with media persons.
Ten choreographers presented awe inspiring performances of their troupes. Different dance forms like Zumba Bhangra Fitness, Classical, Bollywood trendz, Aerobics, Afro were presented on the occasion. All these dance forms help one to stay fit also.
Ankita Muwal who promotes healthy eating habits conducted a special session on gut health and mindful eating. Ankita revealed that she had overcome a debilitating autoimmune disease of the skin through improving eating habits. She said that 70 per cent of health issues are connected with gut health which needs to be taken care of.
“A lifestyle, which is devoid of any activities, is leading to several physical and mental issues. One needs to take care of both physical and mental well being by following a healthy diet and using dance as a means to stay fit,” added Dipesh.
Ashish Kumar, Associate Director, The Fitness Chakra (TFC), Panchkula, and Sam Sharma, a senior choreographer, said that there is a need to promote the dancing habit among youth to make sure that they are fit and fine throughout their lives.
Dipesh Sekhri has been taking workshops at National & International level and his strength is Bhangra Funk & Bollywood! He has also been Choreographing big weddings and his wedding choreography has been featured by Netflix in the big day show!
